North Catholic High School is pleased to offer summer programs filled with fun, activity, and enrichment.  All summer camps will take place on the North Catholic campus, providing each camper a safe environment to grow and learn.
Registration Information:

  1. Please fill out one registration form per camper.
  2. All of our registration is online.*  Please see the form on this page to complete your child’s registration. (*Registration for Girls Basketball Camp, please contact Molly Rottmann at girlsbasketball@northcatholic.org)
  3. A few weeks prior to your selected camp, you will be notified by your camp counselor with detailed information about your child’s camp.
  4. Each camper will receive a t-shirt at the start of camp!

ENRICHMENT CAMPS

INSTRUMENTAL LESSONS - Dates/Times Vary

Students will get a weekly half hour lesson with Mr. Emanuelson to improve on their instrument. Student may also decide course of study (technique, solo literature, jazz improvisation, etc). MINI BAND CAMP - June 10-July 22

Students would meet for a weekly 45 minute camp where they will learn new music and work with high school students to get better at their instrument. A concert would close the summer session on July 22. Contact demanuelson@northcatholic.org with any questions.

SUMMER ENSEMBLE - June 10-July 22

Students will meet for a weekly 90 minute rehearsal to learn appropriate literature and perform a concert at the end of the summer on July 22. Contact demanuelson@northcatholic.org with any questions.

AROUND THE WORLD IN 5 DAYS - June 24-28

Students will “travel” to different countries to experience their history and culture.  Through food, history, and arts & crafts, students will be immersed in the culture of various countries over the course of five days. Countries will include: China, Africa, Ireland, Australia, and Germany.

EXPLORING ART - June 24-28

“Exploring Art” students will explore composition, proportion, perspective, and value, and work to build their observational skills. Painting and drawing skills using pencil and colored pencil. During class we will develop painting techniques based on our use of composition, color theory, processes, materials, and the elements of art and design.

KNITTING CAMP - July 8-12

Introduction to knitting: Students will learn all the basics of knitting needed to complete a project on their own. Topics covered include basic stitches, casting on and casting off, reading patterns, and selecting materials for projects. Beginning materials will be provided, but students will have to purchase their own materials for a project of their choice. Both students and parents are welcome.

OUTDOOR EXPLORERS - July 8-12

Campers investigate their natural surroundings and learn to understand the relationships of wildlife and the ecosystem. Each day lets your child be a real explorer, using science in fun ways to better understand the natural world! Environmental games, nature hikes, nature crafts, interactive stories, and other nature activities help to illustrate and reinforce the ecological concepts covered in daily adventures.

MORE THAN A ROBOT - FRC SUMMER CAMP - July 15-19

Students will have a wholistic experience in FIRST Robotics. Students will build, program, wire, and market a robot. Participants will have a taste in Mechanical Engineering, Software Development, Electrical Circuitry, and Business Administration. All the while, students will learn what it means to be a Gracious Professional.  The camp will be hosted by North Catholic’s Robotics Team, 5740 –The Trojanators!

LATIN CLUB: ROAMING ANCIENT ROME - July 15-19

Step back in time with Roaming Ancient Rome! Attendees will be introduced to the Latin language and explore Roman culture. Topics covered include mythology, art and architecture, fashion, and food. Attendees will participate in activities such as a mythology scavenger hunt, mosaic-making, edible archaeology, and an authentic Roman banquet!

HANDS ON SCIENCE - July 15-19

Students will complete hands on science investigation and activities in the fields of biology, chemistry, and environmental science.

CHEMISTRY CAMP - July 22-26

Students who have completed grades 7 and 8 are invited to Chemistry Camp! Activities will emphasize the application of chemistry and material science to solve problems and improve lives!

LEGO LEAGUE ROBOTICS - July 22-26

Students will build and program LEGO Mindstorm robots that respond to the challenges in the 2018-2019 FIRST LEGO League season. Students will be grouped into teams, cooperate to complete missions, and compete on the final day of the camp! Emphasis will be placed on Coopertition and Gracious Professionalism.  The camp will be hosted by North Catholic’s Robotics Team, 5740 – The Trojanators!

ARDUINO CONTROL CAMP - July 22-26

Students will use Arduino Micro-Controllers, open-source hardware and software, to complete daily projects. Arduino controllers can be the brain for a wide breadth of projects. Hobbyists, artists, programmers, and professionals have shared their innovations to move the maker community forward. Campers will become part of that community! In addition, the cost of the camp will include a personal Arduino Controller.

EXAM PREP BOOT CAMP - July 29-Aug 2 & Aug 5-9

The Exam Prep Boot Camp will give students entering 10th-12th grades an overview of the skills and test strategies necessary to maximize their scores on the SAT and ACT. Students may sign up to work on Verbal only (1 week), Math only (1 week) or both. Math & Verbal will be covered both weeks.

SPORTS CAMPS

SOCCER CAMP - June 17-20
